RIP Jerry Weber original owner of Jerry's records.

This is the first record store that introduced me to the raer. I remember skipping school and going to his Oakland, PA location and geeking out on all the weird, cheap records in his store.

also RIP Lata Mangeshkar. my childhood was full of her impossibly perfect voice.

Taylor Hawkins!! Shit, dude was only 50!

I thought it was a joke at first sight. Shocking! He looked to be in amazing shape for his age.

The manager of a part time Saturday job I work is a huge FF fan: met the band, has the shirts, has the personalized license plate on the car...the whole nine. She was noticeably irritable today. From what I was told, it was heart related. He had his drug problems starting out but has been clean since, supposedly. EDIT: guess not... https://www.yahoo.com/news/foo-fighters-drummer-taylor-hawkins-031606287.html

Amazing Johnathan and Barbara Morrison left us.

Damn, two Diamonds in one week.

RIP Gilbert Gottfried
this podcast about his Aristocrats routine is probably the most absurd hour of content you'll ever hear:https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/gilbert-gottfrieds-the-aristocrats/id1203393721?i=1000449085785

Really sad and what a tough year for comedy. I actually got to see Gilbert do a set a couple of weeks ago in Toronto, and it was everything I could hope for. What a funny, depraved man.

Donald Smith RIP

I don’t know much of Donald Smith’s output but the track you linked is from an album full of disappointments. See my review here: https://www.discogs.com/release/9434607-Gregory-Porter-Donald-Smith-Mansur-Scott-Paul-Zauners-Blue-Brass-Great-Voices-Of-Harlem

Propert scathing review! I don't actually know the album, was just linking something random to celebrate him. For those that don't know, Donald sang on the OG Expansions by his bro, Lonnie Liston Smith. He didn't lead many albums but appeared on a lot of great songs.

Higher Ground did a tribute to him last night - it's not archived quite yet, but should be soon here and for the next week: https://ciut.fm/shows/higher-ground/
