John Kasandra

Just about everything I've heard from this guy is either too stiff or goofy....no edge whatsoever.

I don't hate him - I have his first album, John W. Anderson Presents Kasandra on Capitol, plus a couple of singles - but it does seem like he's trying too hard. He's in the black-consciousness bag, but a little stiff and awkward compared to, say, Gil Scott-Heron.

Apparently some do not agree with the Soulstrut majority opinion:

"A prime example of how to insert a strong social message into a track. keep it funky, and not sound like a square head! Check the crazy ill white labeled mono version of the jizzoint!"

The best thing about his records is that they can be found cheap. Even sealed copies rarely break the 15.00 mark.
