I'm putting together a Moaning & Groaning mix and got the record specifically for that track. I didn't realize that the Bjork sample for Human Behavior was taken from that album also until I was listening through it last week.

Homeboy Sandman used it for a funny one a couple years ago

Bill post up when you're done with the moaning mix. I dunno why but the sex-moan-having songs I've stumbled across seem to put up like, Lou Gehrig numbers compared to non-sex-moan-having songs. Just something I've noticed.

Sure, I'll share the mix when it's done. I'm still waiting on one last record to arrive that I ordered. Two weeks ago the seller said, "Thanks for the immediate payment. I'll try my best to get this in the mail this week. It's been a tough time for me. Had a pacemaker inserted 5 weeks ago, My 26 year old daughter's fiance was killed by a hit and run driver while walking to his car about 9 pm, it was dark. It's put me a bit behind in shipping. I appreciate your purchase." I asked about it yesterday because it's been over two weeks now and he said it will go out by Friday at the latest. Fingers crossed.

:waaambulance:just kidding - those are some tough times!

I feel bad for the guy. I'm being patient though because he had the only mint copy available on Discogs.

You'd hope so.None of this "Swear to God... Stop leaving your muddy shoes in the doorway!" business.

Honestly that Harold Robbins track seems almost like non-sexual moaning & groaning. She sounds like she's straining to lay some pipe. Points for total commitment though, she's not fucking around.

honestly I'm just surprised by Tom Jobim's funky sexploitation side, I never knew he had that in him.

(bernie voice) In my view... to "lay some pipe" can serve... as a euphemism both for sex, and, let's not forget, taking a dump, and in cases such as these... context... is everything. (huge audience applause)

The Algorithm suggested this to me (although I think I've listened to a bunch of stuff on this channel before):

nice and chill Brazilian afrobeat by way of some dude from Budapest or something like that

I had a DJ gig a few weeks ago at the Japanese ambassador's residence for the Iceland-Japan Society so I dug out my city pop jamz which I hadn't listened to in a while.
A lot of the city pop records are super hit-and-miss but I found that this ("Misslim" by Yumi Arai, later Yumi Matsutoya) is a really solid listen throughout. Love her vocal style and laid back vibe. It's a bit too early for the city pop label perhaps, more folk mixed with funk.

A lot of Don Rendell & Ian Carr: Blue Mosque for starters.

Also Bachanal by Gabor Szabo.

Was on a Rendell/Carr trip in the Summer. I think it was seeing this and teleporting mentally into the field and just really getting the late sixties, 3:30PM August Dapper Scarecrow vibes. You know what I mean.

Right now it's...

Bass spectrum is massive on this. Forget about merely knocking - Like being inside a cathedral when the Vikings are battering the door. If you have gringdonkleous bass on your system, let me know how this goes. Changes darker after the vocal. Has to be the LBB Emerald Japan mix. Mmmmmmmm.

makes me think of a really real tribute mix jon sikich put together when shadow dropped the album - it was full of drums and other samples/vibes. he was sharing it with some nice handicraft packaging at the time. i'm going to try to find my copy....https://qameferaq.bandcamp.com/album/dupont-helali
