Classic cosmic British Dazz 12" originally released on the band's Elite label in 1979. Atmosfear was a five piece disco jazz group from North London that released music up until the mid 80s including the underground boogie hit "Xtra Special". "Dancing In Outer Space" was their first single and became a dance floor smash on both sides of the pond after they licensed it to MCA for mass distribution.  The song falls along the lines of Mandré and Nick Straker fusing funky disco with jazzy improv (even dropping some psychedelic synth solos.)  "Dancing In Outer Space" made just about every disco list here on Soul Strut.
