Azuquita Y Su Orquesta Melao - Pura Salsa

  • Azuquita Y Su Orquesta Melao

    Pura Salsa LP (1975)

    Vaya Records ‎

Notable latin fusion LP by Panamanian singer Camilo Azuquita.  1975's Pura Salsa flirts with soul, disco, and funk music while hanging on to the salsa roots known for the Vaya label. Each track has something different and interesting to offer from the latin jazz rock stew of the lead off track "California" to the funky salsa swinger "Guajiro Bacan".  The crowd favorite is the sexy slow burner rendition of Charlie Palmieri's "Salsa Na' Ma'" which begins with some warm inviting Rhodes grooves only to unveil some authentic male orgasmo grunts.  Cop this and don't look back.
