Hand picked records important to the history of Soul Strut.
Hungarian-born bass player, Miklos 'Jackie' Orszaczky migrated to Australia in the 70s with his jazz/funk/rock group Syrius. The group released a self-titled album on Australian label, "Spin" in 1971. Syrius eventually disbanded and Jackie formed a studio band in order to record his debut solo album. The band comprised of John Robinson (ex- Blackfeather, guitar), Peter Jones (electric piano) and Graham Morgan (drums). A long funky drum break can be found on at the start of "Friends Of Mrs. S.," which is also available as a 7" single. The rest of the album's vibe is progressive rock/jazz fusion. Highly recommended.
