    Campus LP (1969)

    La Compagnie

I think Radiohead wants to be this record... Plug in the headphones, and behold this mind-expanding masterpiece of mid 60s euro-pop taken to the hilts! As big as Let it BeDays of Future Passed, and Songs of Experience times pie and finding any information on this release is as tough as getting your single played on HOT 97. There's way too much to this LP to describe, but basically French composer Michel Colombier (pre Messe Pour Le Temps, pre Wings) meshed the power of the symphonic orchestra with euro pop psychedelia circa 1969 complete with government issue "la la la" vocals. I haven't got a clue why this is so rare or so inexplicably absent in the annals of popular music, but it sure is dope.
