Hand picked records important to the history of Soul Strut.
The main attraction on this small label jazz LP out of Sonoma, Ca is the track "Cotati Funk". This 1980-style jazz-funk track is more polished than an early 70's burner would be, but it gets the job done nonetheless. The other track that I like on this album isn't funky, but it is a very light and playful, straight ahead number with flute featured prominently. This LP was in O-Dub's June 2002 soul sides. Everyone still wondering what at least one track on this record sounds like can stop wondering today.
A REALLY GOOD (OR GREAT) 80'S JAZZ RECORD?
