 - Beat Für Verliebte

  • Armin Rusch

    Beat Für Verliebte LP (1969)

    Rex Records

Debut by German jazz keyboardist Armin Rusch.  Beat Für Verliebte (translation Beats for Lover) is mostly groovy easy listening jazz akin to what Muzak was releasing at the time (aka elevator music).  A lot of the tracks get funky with snappy drums relinquishing loops for days. Unfortunately they are ruined by cheesy Hammond organ lines.  The last track on the album "Moon Morning" is a dark, psychedelic guitar freak out with tough as nails drums and a wicked bassline. That and the chill vibes of "Canadian Sunset" are worth the price of admission.
