His 1995 debut is classic NYC boom bap right before Puffy and the Bad Boy clan would ruin the scene for good. Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous features the championed underground uptown hit "Put It On" along with other ominous, jazzy flavored bangers like "Danger Zone" and "I Don't Understand It". Unfortunately, Big L would lose his life in a drive by shooting in 1999.
