Hand picked records important to the history of Soul Strut.
I never front on an LP with a track named "Overturned Ice Cream Truck". Horror OSTs are my latest craze these days and in terms of downright beat head craziness, this ranks at the top of the heap. Although scored by some blokey sounding dudes (Fred Myrow and Malcolm Seagrave), it has the Italian library style steez throughout, bludgeoning listeners with everything from blaze disco synth funk ("Silver Sphere Disco") to tense Electric piano stabs ("Hearse Chase") to the recurring Michael Myers-like theme in different variations. The whole listening experience is truly like getting an oversized blade wielding pinball to the grill.
